Having chosen to exhibit a combination of images and sound recordings I revisited the work we did on photofilm’s in Phonar.
During Phonar an example of a photofilm was shown that followed carol singers around a village on Christmas Eve. The key elements of the photofilm were photos, ambient sound, and narrative. Working with audio also informs your photography and vice versa. The benefits of a photofilm are that they can tell a complex story in a simple way, it can be intimate and gives your subject a voice. I really want to give my subjects a voice in my final major project because I am trying to portray their experiences of having dyslexia at university. So I think my combination of images and sound will be an ideal method of presentation.
