The 100 Project

Another disposable camera project I found that was of interest to me was the 100 project which is being made by the same people who did the disposable memory project. In this project the one hundred cameras are being assigned to 100 people each of a different age between 1 and 100 so that each age is represented by a set of images. The participants are asked to capture a week in their lives from their perspective with the images, to be shared on the website.  Also on the website they feature a short paragraph written by the person who took the images about themselves. As well as this they have been given some set questions to answer such as;

What one thing are you most proud of in your 91 years so far?

What one thing do you hope to do before you’re 100 years old?

What do you feel is the most significant thing that has changed in the world during your lifetime?

What one piece of advice would you give to your 10 year-old self?

The way in which questions have been used to help frame the participants stories in this project is similar to the way I have used questions in my project as prompts to guide the participants to photograph their stories.

Here are some image from a 15 year old girl called hannah that took part.
