Arts Dyslexia Trust

When looking into photography / painting with dyslexics I did not find much that was relevant which is good because it means I am developing something new. However I did discover the Arts Dyslexia Trust website who are a UK based international charity focussing on the visual-spatial abilities as demonstrated in the talented work of dyslexics. At the moment their quote of the week is:

“Drawing makes you see things clearer, and clearer, and clearer still.
The image is passing through you in a physiological way, into your brain,
into your memory – where it stays – its transmitted by your hands”.

-David Hockney-

My idea to ask dyslexic university students to write and draw upon the images they’ve taken links to this idea that some dyslexics find it easier to communicate through a visual language.
